Companion Diagnostics expedited for SMEs

The Codex4SMEs project (initial project started in Sep 2017) addresses the main challenges faced by SMEs developing diagnostics: a time-and cost-intensive development process with a new, intense In Vitro Medical Device Regulation ( IVDR) effective since 2022. Nine partners from six EU countries have launched a strong Fast Track Programme offering SMEs a wide range of services along the entire value chain, for the development of improved diagnostics.

Objectives

The objective is to support developers and manufacturers of innovative diagnostics to make personalized healthcare accessible and affordable for everyone in Europe.

Join the Support Programme for Dx SMEs

The funding programme aims to support small and medium-sized (SME) companies in the life sciences and medical technology sectors engaged in the development of diagnostics. A key point to highlight is that all categories of diagnostics are supported, including in vitro and in vivo diagnostics. The consortium, with a new line-up, has set up a so-called Fast-Track Programme to bring diagnostics to market faster, offering SMEs a wide range of services along the entire value chain.

Codex4SMEs is one of the largest diagnostic networks in North-West Europe.
