The Department of Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is looking for 2 motivated doctoral researchers to support a recently granted European project in the Horizon2020 program.
Job description
o You will be involved in an innovative research project focused on the animal-free testing of liver toxicity induced by chemicals.
o You will perform cell cultivation experiments and molecular biology analyses.
o Your scientific work should result in several manuscripts published in international peer-reviewed journals and a PhD thesis in pharmaceutical sciences.
o You will assist in the organization of practical courses for students in bachelor and master in pharmaceutical sciences.
Profile
o You have a master degree in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, (bio)medical sciences, bioengineering sciences or equivalent.
o You are a dynamic and flexible person.
o You are able to work independently, yet as a team member, and accurately.
o You have excellent presentation and communication skills both written and oral.
o You have a good knowledge of the English language both written and oral.

o A yearly renewable contract as a full-time doctoral researcher at the VUB for 4 years.
o Start date: 1 October 2021.
