The Department of Pharmaceutical and Pharmacological Sciences of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) is looking for a motivated postdoctoral researcher to support a recently granted European project in the Horizon2020 program.

 

Job description

o You will be involved in an innovative research project focused on the animal-free testing of liver toxicity induced by chemicals.

o You will perform cell cultivation experiments and molecular biology analyses.

o Your scientific work should result in several manuscripts published in international peer-reviewed journals.

o You will assist in the supervision of PhD students and master students.

o You will participate in writing grant proposals.

o You will assist in the organization of practical courses for students in bachelor and master in pharmaceutical sciences.

 

Profile

o You have a doctoral degree in pharmaceutical sciences, (bio)medical sciences, bioengineering sciences or equivalent.

o You have a master degree in pharmaceutical sciences, (bio)medical sciences, bioengineering sciences or equivalent.

o You are a dynamic and flexible person.

o You are able to work independently, yet as a team member, and accurately.

o You have excellent presentation and communication skills both written and oral.

o You have a good knowledge of the English language both written and oral.

 

Offer

o A young, dynamic and stimulating work environment.

o A yearly renewable contract as a full-time postdoctoral researcher at the VUB for 5 years.

o Start date: between 1 May and 1 October 2021.
