Belgium-based Inbiose develops biotechnological processes using the proprietary Glycoactives platform to produce specialty carbohydrates such as human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs). MSc or PhD in Bioscience Engineering, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics or equivalent experience
Experience in bioinformatics approaches for DNA and RNA next-generation sequence analyses and metagenomics
Integration and visualization of omics data
Experience in creating and implementing complex data workflows (e.g. using Snakemake, Nextflow)
Experience in genome mining, comparative genomics, and functional genetics
Proficiency in R and Python
High level communication skills
Ability to be inventive and to present novel ideas in method development, data analysis and interpretation
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Optional skills and experience with an added value:
Experience in statistics
Experience using classical and/or deep machine learning methods
Biological background in metabolic engineering and glycobiology
Biological background in immunology
Experience with large-scale computational analysis (high-performance computing cluster)
In silico enzyme engineering experience (e.g. Yasara)
Expand current and build new bioinformatic pipelines to speedup new and running research projects
Analyze experimental (omics) data
Communicate effectively with collaborators to understand and satisfy product and research analysis needs
Provide training for the developed/implemented tools for (internal) users
Collaborate with other scientists within the company
