Ideal Candidates Will Possess:
A strong understanding of fundamental biological principles
A master's degree in Bioinformatics, Software Engineering, Computational Biology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
A strong sense of collegiality
The ability to work independently and as a team player
Technological curiosity and passion for continuous improvement
Fluency in English
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with academics, pharma R&D, and research centres to develop and maintain (multi) omics data workflows for biotech R&D projects, focusing on fostering collaborative partnerships with clients rather than acting as temporary staff
Deliver high-quality IT coding and sustainable R&D solutions with a strong focus on problem-solving
Participate in both internal R&D and client projects, utilising your unique talents, knowledge, skills, and preferences to contribute to the company's success while maintaining a strong customer-centric focus
Provide support and mentorship to colleagues to contribute to everyone's ongoing growth in performance and efficiency
Embrace constant improvement by receiving continuous support and mentorship from your colleagues
Build long-term relationships with our clients based on trust, mutual success, and pleasant collaboration
Required IT Technical Skills:
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, R)
Experience using version control tools (e.g., Git/GitHub)
Good knowledge of Linux-based operating systems, libraries, and tools
Understanding of software build automation (e.g., Make)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Rust Programming Language
Modern workflow management systems (e.g., Nextflow, Snakemake)
Containerization (e.g., Docker, Singularity, Kubernetes)
High-performance computing environments
Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)
