Until now, most of the commercial activity has been led by the CEO, the founder of the company, and the sales team, led by an eager sales manager. In view of our growth & global presence, the need for a separate commercial executive role has become obvious.

The Chief Commercial Officer will be part of the management team, reporting to the CEO and will become the strategic sparring partner of the sales manager and his team.

One of the major objectives for the CCO is to successfully set up and implement the international, commercial strategy and development of our organization. To be successful you’ll need to combine knowledge of the life science industry with strong business development skills. Essentially, you’ll take ownership of the customer and the customer interface with our service offering and products, making sure that our internal organization is aligned to meet the strategic commercial objectives.  

What do we expect? 

  • Define strategic objectives and strategies to strengthen the international growth and development of the sales department in line with the CEO’s vision and the company's strategy 

  • Translate the strategic sales targets into annual plans of action in the field for our different sales teams (cross regions and divisions) with particular focus on expansion 

  • Establish a cohesive, professional and mature commercial team, and coach the sales manager 


Who are we looking for? 

  • You have a Master Degree with +15 years of experience, acting on a strategic level. Preferable in a matrix organized company with different international divisions. 

  • You have a proven commercial track record within service-oriented business environments 

  • You are a people person with excellent leadership skills, who is able to delegate tasks efficiently and empower colleagues. Your leadership style is a charismatic and inspiring style. You are a great facilitator. 

  • You have a strong affinity and knowledge of the Life science industry and love to act in an international playing field

  • You acknowledge the power of a data driven way of working, including a performant way of using CRM tools to enable the sales organization to excel.  

  • You are customer centric oriented, show a lot of grit and passion and can think as a real entrepreneur, detecting new opportunities 

  • You adhere to the company's JPEG values: Joy, Partnership, Extra Mile, Getting things done. 

  • You are bilingual Dutch – English and you have a professional knowledge of French. Any other language is an asset.
