Job Description

Management tasks

  • Acquiring projects (and drafting proposals) for the SalesLab team

  • Coordinating, assisting, and supervising all SalesLab activities

  • Guiding, composing, and delegating the SalesLab team

  • Maintaining a clear overview of the numbers from a budgetary perspective and providing the necessary financial reports as well as risk assessments

Operational tasks

  • Leading the business development of our customers on a project basis: find customers for our customers in order to launch their product/service well on the market

  • Managing, supporting, and coaching the sales department of our clients with the aim of creating a fully independent team at the end of the project

  • Utilising innovative market strategies to attract new clients

  • Researching possible manners to satisfy the need of our clients

  • Initiating the negotiations of collaboration agreements

Studies, experience and skills

  • Master’s degree in bioengineering, biomedical sciences, or any other master of science in combination with a business background acquired via education or hands-on experience

  • Minimum 10 years experience in new sales/ business development within life sciences

  • Knowledge and/or a network within the medical devices market

  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English, Dutch and/or French

  • Eagerness to share knowledge and good team-managing skills

  • You are a true entrepreneur, salesperson and can easily identify and capitalize on the needs of potential clients
