About Oxurion

Oxurion is a biopharmaceutical company developing next-generation standard of care ophthalmic therapies, which are designed to better preserve vision in patients with retinal vascular disorders including diabetic macular edema (DME), the leading cause of vision loss in diabetic patients worldwide as well as other conditions, including wet age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and retinal vein occlusion (RVO).

We aim to lower the burden of treatment for patients and enhance practice management for physicians. We develop innovative compounds that each target a distinct, unexplored pathway to answer unmet medical needs in ophthalmology, with a focus on retinal diseases. We are currently looking for a

Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications (M/F)

Scope of the role

As Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications at Oxurion, you will act as our ambassador to the investor community and will lead the strategic and operational development and implementation of all corporate internal and external communications activities for Oxurion.

You will demonstrate consistent, engaging and efficient corporate messaging so that Oxurion is appropriately and strategically positioned with analysts, investors, and all stakeholders, including our employees. You ensure that Oxurion is recognized as a reliable and unified company.

This position plays a pivotable role in amplifying the branding and value proposition of Oxurion, and will report to the Chief Financial Officer, currently based in Boston, US.

Your role:

 You will :

  • Lead the strategic planning, direction and execution of Investor Relations

  • Provide a comprehensive and compelling Investor Relations roadmap;

  • Develop investor awareness, confidence and conviction in Oxurion’s vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value;

  • Provide knowledgeable direct interface with the investment community to help educate institutional investors and research analysts regarding the company’s strategy and differentiation as an innovator in the biotechnology space;

  • Originate and maintain investor-facing materials, including corporate presentations, investor Q&A’s, prepare responses for retail investors, etc

  • Work with outside agencies on the drafting and issuing of press releases;

  • Coordinate Investor Relations meetings in Europe and US and roadshows with investment banks;

  • Keep track of investor relations feedback and follow up closely with investors providing relevant information, including but not limited to managing the due diligence data room;

  • Lead corporate online presence as principal owner of www.oxurion.com: develop and manage content (supported by a web design agency) as well as maintain strategic contribution of the website to the business. Look for original ways to be actively present on social media and other communication channels;

  • Cultivate relationships with key media contacts to increase public relations efforts;

  • Plan and organize interviews, film and photo shoots, events with journalists and key opinion leaders;

  • Work with Legal and Finance to help produce reports to public authorities;

  • Proactively gather insights on the competitive landscape in current markets and markets of interest in order to refine messaging and market positioning;

  • Serve as a primary person to handle incoming queries from media and investors;

  • Collaborate closely with HR for employee communication as to business related information and make a joint effort in employer branding and internal promotion of company culture;

 

Preferred skill set:

  • Degree in communications, or equivalent experience;

  • Min 10 years of experience in a similar position within a US or Euronext public company;

  • Experience with the US market and have established relationships with US investors and analysts in the (bio)pharmaceutical industry;

  • Being familiar with financial modeling, reporting and valuation methods is a strong plus;

  • Passionate about science and able to translate complex content to a non-scientific audience;

  • You like to challenge the status quo and are constantly looking for original and better approaches to achieve your goals;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and you are an engaging storyteller;

  • Natural influencing skills;

  • Empathetic person who understands and can anticipate on the emotions and needs of any kind of stakeholders;

  • Knowledge of standard MS-Office programs, Photoshop, Adobe;

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and project management skills.

  • Willing to travel on a regular basis and flexible to accommodate different time zones between CET - US PST
