Who are we? Thia Ventures is a venture capital investor focused on the intersection of biotech x food x health.  This is one of the most dynamic and essential fields of human endeavor today. We bring robust investor muscle to early-stage ventures: powerful industry substance, wide networks, and longstanding experience. We marry all this with the drive and speed of a lean team with a clear focus.

In our first 2 years, we built a portfolio of 17+ promising companies, and we are just getting started.

Who are we looking for? We want a highly motivated scientist with a Graduate Degree in life sciences related to our space (nutrition, biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology, …) to join our young team.

A degree, PhD in particular, in a subject that is relevant to our food investment focus is a significant plus.

As an investment professional, you will:

§  Source and screen startup companies that match Thia Ventures’ investment strategy

§  Work as part of the team in the evaluation of investment opportunities together with industry experts

§  Assist in executing transactions

§  Support portfolio companies in their development

§  Do deep-dives in emerging technologies, industries, and companies to give the team a clear view on the state of the art and on the position of the relevant players

§  Coordinate team activities

What you bring:

§  Graduate degree (PhD, Master or equivalent) in nutrition, biochemistry, biotechnology, microbiology…

§  (Intellectual) love for our space of biotech x food x health

§  Notions of finance appreciated, at least some interest

§  Outstanding analytical thinking, ability to prioritize and manage many tasks in parallel

§  Full written and spoken fluency in English (French is a plus)

§  Entrepreneurial mindset and a natural team player
