We are looking for a Manufacturing Technician, Biosensors to join our team.


FOx Biosystems is a young Belgian company on a mission to revolutionize the life sciences and pharmacological research market with innovative real-time, label-free analysis products. The basis of our success is a novel fiber-optic-based surface plasmon resonance biosensor that enables our users to generate high-quality biomolecular data accurately, fast, cost-effective, and in a wide application area. 


We currently employ about 10 people in our offices in Diepenbeek, Belgium. We will be expanding rapidly over the next months and we’re looking for talented and ambitious professionals to join our team. 

A Brief Overview

You will be a member of our Operations team and report to the Manufacturing Manager. In your role, you will be a key driving force for ensuring our biosensors are produced on-time, within budget, and with the quality our customers expect.

Your primary responsibility will be contributing to the manufacturing operations. Apart from being a key person in producing our biosensors, there are opportunities for you to be involved in raw material procurement, stock management, equipment maintenance and logistics. We also rely on you to actively contribute to the continuous improvement of all aspects of quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reliably execute production orders and attain the production schedule for standard and build-to-order products.

  • Ensure raw materials and finished goods are properly stocked and in good order.

  • Ensure manufacturing equipment is well maintained and calibrated.

  • Prepare, review and archive manufacturing documentation, such as batch records and quality records.

  • Timely and effectively communicate any deviations from the operations procedures, as well as unexpected results or events that may affect product quality or timely delivery.

  • Actively identify improvement opportunities related to product quality and associated processes.

  • Collaborate with other teams in process development, process improvement and design transfer projects.

  • Contribute to other duties as assigned to support the needs of the company.

Education and work experience

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, chemistry, or other relevant fields.

  • Experience with the manufacturing of chemical, reagent or drug products is a plus.

  • Experience with working in an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment is desirable, whereas ISO 13485 and/or GMP is a big plus.

  • Min. B1 level in English or equivalent.
