Project Manager LIMS

As a Project Manager, you are the point of contact for ongoing customer projects and always looking for the best method to deliver the project. You communicate with customers and colleagues about the latest status and contribute to a good project process. You are the person who is seen as an important link for the services and products provided. You take responsibility and are task-conscious in performing the job and always looking for improvements. As a Project Manager, you work in a structured way and you are communicative, a real team player. You are the link in the customer projects and always looking for the best method to deliver the project. You are not unfamiliar with project management techniques such as PRINCE2, IPMA, Agile and/or Scrum.

  • You are responsible for responding to customer demand, taking into account the agreed contract and budget. You guarantee a win-win for organization and customer.

  • You support sales in pre-sales and demonstration activities on request of the Customer Service Manager.

  • You ensure thorough preparation to ensure efficient project management from there (timing, resources, budget, etc.).

  • Apply an agreed project methodology, based on e.g. PRINCE2 principles- Creates a project plan, with the division of tasks and required resources for each individual task, both internally and for the customer’s contribution.

  • You will be SPOC throughout the project and provide clients with frequent updates through steering committees.

  • Has planning validated and schedules consultations with project engineers in collaboration with the Customer Service Manager.

  • Identifies and manages risks during project realization.

  • Communicates regularly with the customer about the status and progress of the project.

  • Recommends areas of improvement for products and services to the Customer Service Manager BE to improve delivery time and quality.

  • Communicates knowledge to colleagues and attends team meetings.

  • Contributes to the team spirit within the company and actively promotes a customer-focused approach.


  • Bachelor or Master's Degree

  • At least 5 years of experience in a project management role

  • A solid background in the world of clinical laboratories

  • Laboratory information systems (LIS) or laboratory information management systems

  • (LIMS) and project methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, PMBOK) is a strong asset

  • Healthcare communication standards such as HL7, ASTM, IHE, etc.

  • Operating systems, networks, virtualization

  • French/English/Dutch

  • Home basis: preferably Antwerp/Kempen

  • Working area: Flanders
