Who We Are

KBI is a recognized international leader in the contract services field, having earned 2017 CMO Leadership Awards in 6 categories. With five locations in the United States and two in Europe, one in Switzerland and one in Belgium, KBI is expanding its activities in their laboratory in Leuven. 

KBI is operating this state-of-the-art analytical and formulation laboratory with capabilities ranging from HPLC and capillary electrophoresis to process residual analysis and formulation development. 

We intend our initial cadre of scientists in Leuven to develop expertise over a broad technical scope and to form the core of our expanding European capabilities.

Job Summary:

Perform contract development services, including formulation, analytical development programs for monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins and peptides.

Job Functions:

  • Support product formulation and analytical development for biopharmaceuticals, including monoclonal antibodies, recombinant proteins and peptides.

  • Produce GMP documentation and client reports.

  • Serve as technical subject matter expert and mentor junior staff.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Biochemistry or related field + 3 years (can be gained during graduate-level studies) biochemistry research experience.

  • Master’s in Biochemistry or related field + 6 years (can be gained during graduate-level studies) biochemistry research experience also accepted.

  • Must be fluent in English.

  Prior experience must include:

  • Protein characterization, including HPLC, UPLC, and/or capillary electrophoresis for biopharmaceutical research.

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector and GMP quality norms.
