About the opportunity

Join Sanofi Digital R&D as a Digital Technical engineer for Molecule Design Screening & CMC Service Line focusing Large Molecule Research. You will directly contribute to the acceleration of R&D by bringing your digital expertise in Research to ensure the delivery and end to end lifecycle of the Molecule Design Screening and CMC service line foundations system for the whole Research.

Your main objective will be to bring your technical expertise to ensure the availability and evolution of digital solutions for Screening activities (eWorkbook, Activity base, homemade development) and companion tools around Genedata Biologics solutions.

In this role you will lead and execute Technical expertise all along the lifecycle (plan, design, build, run) of Digital Solutions belonging to your domain of expertise. This includes…

• Ensure End to End delivery in your area of expertise

• Act as Authority for your domain of technical expertise

• Own standards and practices relate to your domain of technical expertise

• Provide inputs for selection purpose and/or performance monitoring concerning Statement of Work (SOW) with vendors and subcontracting partners

• Provide and guarantee a broad and strategic vision and understanding of a given domain of technical expertise particularly by conducting regular studies and watch campaigns

• Propose total cost of ownership optimizations for your technical domain of expertise

• Support Sanofi for audits and inspections involving computerized systems

• Contribute actively to Operational excellence: Facilitating risk management and conducting/contributing to Problem root causes analysis

• Collaborate closely with all the other members of the team to take shared responsibility for the overall efforts that the team has committed to support those solutions and operation activities

• Overall objective is to maintain Digital tools to enhance scientist’s workflows by aligning with Sanofi Digital standard landscape and Agile strategy

About you

Qualifications/Education & work experience

• University degree in computing, computer science and/or scientific discipline

• 5 years direct work experience in an IT area, preferably R&D

• Experience with relational databases (Oracle and PostgreSQL) fluent in SQL is a must

• Demonstrated understanding of the processes and workflows related to R&D

• Experience in Application Life Cycle Management (plan, design, build, operate)

• Experience with programming languages such as various shells, python, Json.

• Knowledge in AWS/GCP architecture and cloud providers (AWS/Azure architecture)

• Experience in Agile / Rapid Development Life Cycle methodologies; certification preferred

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
