Biosafety and Regulatory Specialist

Our biosafety and regulatory specialists guide our clients in working safely with pathogens and/or genetically modified organisms. This requires an in depth understanding of infrastructural features, safety-essential equipment as well as key procedures. Furthermore, our specialists have a thorough understanding of a broad range of legal requirements and know how to apply them to ensure full compliance of our clients with relevant regulation.

We are looking for a new colleague, who enjoys scientific challenges combined with administration and legislation, to join our dynamic team.

Tasks

• Develop safety information for biological material: Search, evaluate and present scientific information determining biological hazard in an informative format

• Perform biological risk assessments: Develop specific risk assessments using diverse techniques for R&D as well as production processes

• Manage contained use dossiers: Collect and structure the necessary information for obtaining regulatory approvals and provide scientific and administrative support during the handling of an application

• Support life science staff: Translate the synthesis of best practices in operational, day-to-day indications

• Monitor legal developments: Keep track of changing requirements and communicate the impact on the life science sector

Profile

• You like to compile and study information on life science-related topics.

• You have (or will soon achieve) a master's degree in life sciences and have an affinity with literature searches.

• You speak and write Dutch and English fluently. French is a nice-to-have.

• You like to work inter-disciplinary. You like to inspire your colleagues and be inspired by them.

• You are skilled in identifying issues and aim for pragmatic solutions. • You are customer-oriented and have an entrepreneurial spirit. Offer
