About the opportunity

Join Sanofi Digital R&D as a developer for Biologics Discovery product. You will directly contribute to the acceleration of R&D Biologics Discovery by bringing your digital expertise in Research to ensure the delivery of the Digital Biologics Discovery foundations system for the whole Large Molecule Research group. This foundation system will be integrated into the Digital R&D data platform.

You will be part of the Biologics Discovery product team, working in Agile mode with the Product owner, Technical, functional engineer and business analyst.

About growing with us

Your main objective will be to develop systems and make evolutions on existing one to fit the challenging growth of researchers needs.  For example, you will adapt the foundation tool to integrate Sanofi workflows further and complete the onboarding of Sanofi acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

• Be accountable for designing and developing small adaptation of the foundation product and APIs or connections to the tool to achieve business strategic objectives to deliver value and realize the benefits. One of the main missions will be to work closely with the business and Digital teams on the Ghent site to deliver fast and iteratively to facilitate and demonstrate the integration feasibility.

• Additionally, you will work on development of connectors between core product and some in-house tools to optimize Sanofi LMR workflows.

• Overall objective is to develop Digital tools to enhance scientist’s workflows by aligning with Sanofi Digital standard landscape and Agile strategy.

About you

Qualifications/Education & work experience

• Degree in computing, computer science or equal

• At least 5 years work experience in IT/Digital

• Experience with programming languages such as Java 8 or higher (Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate) and Python required

• Experience with relational databases (Oracle and PostgreSQL) fluent in SQL is a must

• Experience working in agile methodology within a Pod

• Proficient in English written and verbally

Preferred experience

• Experience with writing unit and integration tests (JUnit, mocking frameworks, etc.)

• Experience with development tools including (version control, continuous integration, build automation utilities, package management, IDE, documentation)  

• Experience with integration (consuming SOAP or REST API's, messaging)

• Experience with container technology (Docker)

• Knowledge of front-end development in JavaScript (Angular)

• Knowledge of different application architectures (Modular Monolith, Microservices)

• Knowledge of cloud providers (AWS/Azure architecture)
