Indigo is looking to hire a motivated Firmware Engineer, to work on the Embedded software development for Indigo’s sensor and readout devices. By joining Indigo’s international team of experts, you will contribute to bringing Indigo’s cutting-edge solution to the market and to the lives of people with diabetes.
Your main tasks and responsibilities include:
Develop, evaluate and maintain embedded code solutions for Indigo’s sensor and readout devices
Establish and expand automated workflows with focus on reproducibility, code coverage, unit testing, integration testing
Work in a medical device setting following the applicable standards (ISO13485, IEC 62304…)
Write clear code, focus on testability and use good coding practices.
Communicate openly within and across teams
Requirements
Master’s degree in software, computer science, engineering or relevant field
Proven track record of working within a regulated environment (e.g. medical devices industry)
Min. 5 years of experience in software development and embedded coding: embedded C, ARM GCC toolchains, debugging tools
Experience with hardware measurement equipment (logic analyser, oscilloscope, …)
Experience with the following tools: GIT, Jira, Jenkins, Docker
Experience with unit testing, integration testing
Strong affinity for Python
Understanding of software quality assurance principles and standards or a strong willingness to learn and apply these
Prior working experience with software quality documentation (e.g. IEC 62304) is considered a plus
Knowledge of Nordic microprocessor family and BLE development is considered a plus
Have a strong affinity for Python
Ability to write clear and comprehensive technical reports and documentation
A technical mindset with great attention to detail
Strong self- and time management skills
Pragmatic, confident, hands-on with a strong ‘can-do’ attitude
Independent judgment skills and action orientation for obtaining required results
