Job Purpose

The purpose of the Equipment engineer (Mechatronics) role, is to ensure a flawless implementation of the new production line at the Baarle-Nassau site, executed in a GMP compliant manner. This role will also be critical in the optimization of our equipment performance. You will be hands-on, installing subsystems, connect it to the production line and conducting tests to ensure effectiveness and reliability.

Major Accountabilities

  • Guide and supervise onsite installation of equipment

  • Install Novartis owned subsystems to the production line

  • Preparing, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of assigned engineering projects

  • Participate with the assessment and implementation of special projects or initiatives within cross-functional teams.

  • Reviews equipment and engineering systems to support root cause analysis investigations and trend investigations.

  • Second line escalation in case of equipment failures

  • Driving continuous improvement from an asset perspective

  • Reducing safety risks through simplification and error proofing machines

  • Improving equipment reliability through equipment design modifications

  • First time right project deliverables

  • Project Milestones delivered on time

  • Cost adherence for all projects.

  • Be willing to occasionally work outside office hours and on weekends.

Ideal Background

  • Education: MBO or HBO degree (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Mechatronics) with proven track record within engineering

  • Languages: English verbal and written

  • Experiences: Preferred qualifications: 5+ years of working experience within (pharmaceutical) GMP
