Within our organization, Life Sciences is one of the three core franchises with dedicated team members across Equity Research, Institutional Sales and Corporate Finance. Sell-side equity research provides profound insights into a universe of various pharma, biotech and medtech companies through in-depth analysis, valuation and reports, and thus plays a central role in the total value chain at KBC Securities working closely with various departments (Sales, Sales-Trading, Corporate Finance…). Next to the fundamental analysis and valuation of companies, Equity Research is responsible for the commercialization of its ideas to institutional investors while maintaining close relationships with top management of the companies covered.KBC Securities is looking for a Life Science Analyst Intern who will support in company & financial analysis including financial modelling, conducting in-depth research and writing reports on Life Science companies and the life sciences sector. Furthermore, the Life Science Analyst Intern could support in IPO projects and other equity transactions. Your strengths?

• Scientific/medical background in life sciences with strong interest in the biotech industry and finance OR economic background with some experience in life sciences (MSc/PhD student/graduate)

• Strong analytical mindset (advanced Excel skills required)

• Good (commercial) communication skills, both written and verbal

• You dare to articulate a clear point of view and challenge the status quo

• Fluent English speaking/writing is a must, other languages are beneficial

• Working level knowledge of accounting/corporate finance is a plus, but not a prerequisite

• Team player able to thrive in a challenging environment and need for flexibility

• Hands-on and enthusiastic
