Job description

BioMARIC NV is currently looking for a Lab Technician to strengthen its R&D Department. We expect the new colleague to have an explorative mind and to be eager to carry out a variety of scientific activities required for the development of new innovative biomaterials and related IVD assays.

Responsibilities

  • Rigorously conduct scientific experiments under ad hoc guidance from an experienced scientist.

  • Make detailed observations, interpret technical quality of data and perform basic data analysis.

  • Maintain complete and accurate records and write technical reports.

  • Take responsibility in all aspects for the optimal quality and performance of the laboratory equipment assigned to you.

  •   Train new colleagues on the equipment under your responsibility (in depth understanding of the working and software connected to the specific equipment)

  •   Follow the company’s work ethics and procedures for good laboratory practice (GLP) while ensuring continuous quality of the research activities.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated lab technician able to excel in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, relevant industrial experience is an asset,

  • Significant hands-on experience with gene cloning, protein expression, protein purification and/or assay development (e.g. ELISA, CLIA, LFA),

  • Pro-active worker able to independently implement experimental instructions,

  •   Strong organizational skills to simultaneously work on different projects,

  • A profound sense for quality, accuracy and detail,

  • Effective communication skills in English,

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications,

  • Independent attitude but team player.
