Market Development Manager

Why do we need you?

As we matured our technology platforms and our first soybean varieties have hit the market, we are now looking to develop the 5 Mio ha market potential for soybeans in Europe further. To support our commercial ambitions, we are looking for an experienced seeds market professional to help grow the demand by swaying farmers and downstream processing industry towards locally-grown soybeans.

What do we need you to do?

• You monitor opportunities for growers by mapping the farm economics related to a shift in crop rotation per geography

• You develop a deep understanding of the downstream processing industry and their needs and segment it into product and value chain opportunities 

• You create a market development plan in line with farmer and processor needs and our growth ambitions

• You develop required tools including for example datasets and demonstration trials to be used in messaging to target groups

• You implement the market development plan to grow the soybean commodity market for food and feed applications and create demand with growers

• You monitor and analyze the current and future soybean seed markets to stay ahead of the curve

• You interact closely with Marketing communication and Sales as a team • You help to position Protealis as the leading provider of elite high yield and quality genetics for EU protein crops

• As part of the leadership team, you provide input to overall company strategy

What experience are we seeking?

• You are educated as master in an agronomy or economics or related science

• You have at least 3-5 years of experience in the field of Agriculture Marketing/Sales/Economics and understand crop production and agriculture/food-related market dynamics 

• Experience in bringing innovation to the market is a strong plus 

• You have experience in translating data into strategies

• You know how to develop partnerships with various stakeholders in the value chain

• You are fluent in English, other European language skills like French or German are a plus
