Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a Patent Engineer with a degree in Bioscience Engineering, Biotechnology, (Bio)-Chemistry or Bio-Industries.

 

Your responsibilities

You will advise innovating companies and be intensively involved in all aspects of protecting their innovations, such as their intellectual property (IP) strategy, IP protection, active IP management, defensive and offensive patent oppositions, valuation, etc. – You will work in close cooperation with colleagues throughout the GEVERS Group to ensure the best possible services – You will protect the interests of the clients at the Belgian and European Patent Office, as well as at other foreign offices via local associates – After qualification, you will become more and more responsible for the cases and clients in the specialized technical field of Life Sciences inventions.

Your profile

You have a degree in Life Sciences, such as Bioscience Engineering, Biotechnology, (Bio)-Chemistry and Bio-Industries – A PhD is considered as a plus – You have a good fundamental understanding of your technical specialty and you’re able to translate your theoretical knowledge into practical projects – There is no need for IP experience, but you are eager to learn and develop yourself in this field – You have an excellent command of French, you are fluent in English, written and oral – You are responsible and have an eye for precision – You are flexible and stress resistant and can work with tight deadlines – You are motivated and have a positive attitude –You are able to integrate in a team and take part in the development of the business for the local office.
