Travel restrictions in the framework of covid-19 make it difficult to develop business in Asia. flanders.bio and FIT Tokyo have therefore developed a format enabling Flemish biotech and life sciences companies to do business development even during the uncertain covid-19 times. At the occasion of BioJapan 2021, the leading partnering event for the biotech and life sciences industry in Asia, flanders.bio and FIT Tokyo are joining forces for the organisation of a Flemish Hybrid Biotech and Life Sciences Week in Japan on October 11th-15th, 2021.

Japanese pharma companies are intensively looking for licensing opportunities to fill their pipelines. Participation to the Flemish Hybrid Biotech and Life Sciences Week is a unique opportunity for your company to explore this market, particularly during the difficult covid-19 times. Over the past 15 years, many Flemish companies & organisations have joined us to Japan, and have started doing business with Japanese partners.

flanders.bio and FIT Tokyo are offering the following hybrid programme:

 

  • FIT Tokyo will be present with a pavilion at BioJapan 2021 on 13-15 October, showcasing the Flanders Biotech and Life Sciences Cluster. This pavilion will promote the participating Flemish companies through one A1 display poster per company. The participating companies will also get one page in the pavilion brochure (English/Japanese), and can send promotional material for display in the pavilion. During the fair, FIT Tokyo will actively look for business opportunities for the participating Flemish companies, and give feedback to them after the fair.

  • Through FIT Tokyo, participating Flemish companies can register for the online B2B partnering system of BioJapan. This system enables virtual meetings with potential Japanese partners during the 3 days of the exhibition. In the past, this partnering tool has proven to be very efficient in connecting with the life sciences and pharmaceutical industry of Japan, and registration is therefore highly recommended. Each participating Flemish company will receive a free account from FIT. This account can be used by one person of your company. Additional accounts can be requested at flanders.bio and will be ordered by FIT Tokyo against cost price.

  • A webinar about the Biotech and Life Sciences Cluster of Flanders on 11 or 12 October. Participating Flemish companies will be able to present themselves during this webinar. Japanese attendees will be invited by FIT Tokyo through its own network and through the network of FIT’s life sciences partners in Japan.
