  • Jeroen Schuermans

    Jeroen Schuermans is a Grant Consultant and Project Manager at Modis. As a grant consultant he analyses clients' projects, advises on government grants schemes, and supports in writing and generating a high-quality grant application. He supports in the reporting and compliance process of the grants. He has a solid Life Sciences academic background and extensive knowledge and experience in project management, in particular public-private partnerships in life sciences, such as Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) and H2020.

  • Sofie Meerschaut

    Sofie Meerschaut is a Senior Grant Consultant at Modis with a deep Life Sciences academic background. She has over 10 years of experience in local, national and EU grants for R&D and innovation related activities and the resulting trainings and investments. Aided by her Life Sciences education, Sofie enjoys advising consortia on the soundness of their projects. By pointing out the gaps in a proposal's reasoning and offering solutions to turn weaknesses into strengths, she gives proposals the maximum chance of success.

  • Zeger De Groote

    Zeger De Groote is one of Modis’ Senior Grant & Project Managers. He has several years of experience working in collaborative Life Sciences research projects, as project manager and as grant consultant. His expertise covers European grants in the fields of R&D, innovation, and trainings. Zeger enjoys working on strategic management, communication, development, and on processes of innovation. Supporting teams to work in a flexible and adaptive manner maximizes their chances to successfully apply for grants and reach their goals and ambitions.

  • Pascale Engelen

    Driven Life Sciences Senior Executive with 30 years experience in pharmaceutical industry and contract research laboratory. Pascale is one of flanders.bio's two co-General Managers.
    She has a broad experience in both mass disease and specialised niche markets, with development of successful marketing strategies for small molecules, biotech, vaccines and generics.
    Successful collaboration projects with Patient Organisations in different disease areas.
    Successful implementation of restructuring and redesign programs improving profitability (both locally and internationally driven programs).
