Pathomation announces the launch of a new release of the My Pathomation digital pathology platform optimised for institutional users with a new drag and drop upload interface.

The release coincides with the European Congress on Digital Pathology held in Budapest. Pathomation is excited to show the new whole slide image upload capabilities that now resemble common consumer tools like Google photo’s or Dropbox. This is an important step to make digital pathology more accessible to a broader audience wanting to start working with whole slide images for daily use like teaching, collaborating, sharing or creating other interactive digital pathology content. The technical challenge to create an upload compatible with the complex file structure and large size of whole slide images was something we were trying to solve since we first started as a company. Over the years we have learned from our early solutions and the feedback of our customers. Furthermore this had to work without the need to install software on the user computer since many institutions block unauthorized software installation. We are happy to announce the upload process runs entirely through the My Pathomation web browser.

Simultaneously we have added capabilities to create both a private user space and set up organizations for multiple users. Within an organization it is now possible to create several groups that focus on specific topics. My Pathomation comes with a user management modules that allows for differentiated roles and access rights within the organization.
