In view of scaling up IVD & CoV-2 detection capacity, one of our flanders.bio members is urgently looking for possibly available centrifuges.
More specifically the Lab needs at least 2 centrifuges that can handle deep-well microtiter plates (7.3 cm) at 6000g.
The following work definitely, but others may also work:
Thermo Fisher / Heraeus X3 Series (with HIGHPlate6000 rotor)
Beckman Coulter Allegra 25R (with rotor S5700) - 2 plate rotor, 6130xg
Beckman Coulter Avanti J-25 & J-30I (with rotor JS-5.9) - 2 plate rotor, 5900xg
Beckman Coulter Avanti J-E & J-26 XP (with rotor JS-5.3) - 4 plate rotor, 6870xg
Sigma centrifuge 4-16S or 4-16KS (with Plate Rotor 81031)
Of note, it is the combination of both centrifuge and rotor that defines the final g-force.
